Community Kitchen Launch

On Thursday 14th December 2023 community leaders, volunteers and charities came together for the opening of our new community kitchen space.
There were smiles all round as we shared a celebratory afternoon tea, and listened to people talk about how they would like to see the kitchen being used for the benefit of families, community groups and refugees.
We are grateful for all the kind donations we have received that have enabled our dream to become a reality. We would also like to thank Kingston Council, the Lidl foundation and the Kingston Charitable Foundation for funding construction of the new space.

Reading about the community kitchen launch, I liked how the article highlighted volunteers coming together to serve shared meals for people facing food insecurity, especially the focus on using locally donated ingredients and building neighborhood support.
