Des
Kay
Des Kay is co-founder of SWC. Des
Kay is one of the key personnel working with the national
Green Roadshow and has 18 years experience creating shows
and environmental educational exhibitions for local authorities
for Save the World Club. He is the founder of the Glastonbury
Festivals Green Police Team. He has worked for the Environment
Agency, Sutton Council, Bristol Environment Centre and
countless schools and festivals around the UK. |

Bernadette
Vallely
Bernadette Vallely is the full time development officer
for SWC and is part of the senior management team. She
has extensive experience in organising cultural and environmental
events and shows and working with national and international
partners to create public awareness of womens and
environmental issues. Ms Vallely is a United Nations Global
500 Laureate and an environmental author. She is a member
of the Kingston Community Leadership Forum and the Kingston
Emergency Incident Support Team.
Ms Vallely is the co-ordinator of the Glastonbury Green
Police information team and is responsible for the organisation
of a 100 strong team at the festival. Previous experience
of large events includes working for the Anti-Apartheid
Movement organising shows, demonstrations, funding events
and newspaper sales, then Friends of the Earth, organising
events, press, international work and anti-nuclear rallies.

Bart
Ricketts
Local town centre Councillor, Bart Ricketts is the Chairman
of the Save the World Club. At Kingston University Bart
studied Environmental Science and Business and was
also president of the Student Union. He has always kept
himself involved in local community projects and has an
excellent knowledge of the charity sector due to his time
as a trustee for Kingston Victim Support.
Bart currently works in the waste management sector and
has a strong passion for improving our environment. |

Anthony
Grover
Anthony is a qualified accountant and auditor with 20
years experience having worked for a variety of companies
including Fallows & Co. Key skills include conducting
audits, payroll, PAYE, preparation of VAT returns, tax
calculations, report writing and client liaison. Anthony
has been responsible for the audit of some of the largest
charities in the UK including Central Trust with 50,000
employees. He is the full time accountant for Save the
World Club and has experience of preparing accounts for
external audit purposes. |

Jean
Vidler
Jean is the SWC Company Secretary
with special responsibility for health and safety. Ms
Vidler has extensive experience as co-founder of the Save
the World Club, Kingston Green Fair and managing similar
events including Glastonbury Festivals Green Fields and
the Big Green Gathering. She co-ordinates health and safety
and steward training, multi-agency responses to risk and
hazards and emergency procedures. |

| As well as
the staff below, Save The World Club also works with 17
part time artists and a team of about 50 adult volunteers.
If staff are working with children one to one, they will
be expected to undertake the local council child protection
training and a SWC induction course designed to introduce
them to the special challenges of working with young offenders
and disadvantaged young people. |

Julie
Norburn
Has an education studies and community art degree BEd
(hons) and PGCE primary in education from Roehampton.
She runs Art4Space in Stockwell Studios running a successful
community arts business for seven years. Julie is registered
in the arts council website. She is our most senior artist
having previously undertaken projects in Brixton tube
station, Moorlands Estate Brixton, and in a number of
schools, hospitals and community settings. Julie was a
manager for the Cow Parade education art bus for Arts
in Business. Julie has managed accredited courses for
adult learning including Greenwich Young Peoples
Project for LOCN credits. Julie has created a unique two
week introductory course in understanding community mosaic
for Save the World Club. All SWC artists undertake the
two week course with Julie before they are able to join
the staff team. |

Howard
Grange
Howard
is a community mosaic artist who originally
trained as a web designer and illustrator, working for
several south London charities. He also trained as a sound
engineer and has been involved with much music making
over the last six years. In 2002 he set up a Rickshaw
Co-operative in South London and helped set up a wood
reclaimation project in the East End of London. He worked
with Art4Space in 2003 on their Dalston Estate project
where he built up his community skills.
This year has been a very busy year for Howard, as well
as leading several community art projects, he has found
time to help coordinate the Green Police at Glastonbury,
brush up on his teaching skills at Hackney community college
and design and build this website. |

Christina
Ayling
Tina Ayling is a fully qualified designer, having recieved
a diploma in design and innovation after studying with
the Open University. She is also a qualified interior
designer having studied at Rohdec International recieving
a diploma. She has also studied building environment design
and has much experience in murals, trompe l` oeil, rag
rolling and marbling as used in her own design business.
Tina lives locally in chesington and has been a volunteer
with SWC for some time, currently she is employed as a
mosaic artist working on the Tolworth Project. |

Jackie
Mcintosh
Jackie McIntosh is an NVQ2 qualified painter and decorator
from Lambeth College and has Fashion and Design and Window
Dressing qualifications. She has worked for several design
and production companies creating banners, studio, film
and theatre backdrops. She has designed her own range
of clothing available at Spitalfields market and specialises
in using recycled materials of all kinds. Jackie has been
working for Save The World Club as a community mosaic
artist and painter since summer 2004 including leading
the refurbishment of the Kingsnympton Estate playground
with 107 young people. |

Kim
Porrelli
Kim Porrelli has a BSc honours in personnel management
and is an active training instructor part time with Surrey
County Council. She has studied stained glass for two
years at Kingston Adult Education. She has applied her
stained glass skills to full effect and has studied with
SWC for over two years to become an active member of the
mosaic team. As a assistant mosaicist Kim has worked with
SWC on several schools projects and for the award-winning
Kingston Station project. |

Sue
Edkins
Sue Edkins has a BA in Art for the Community from University
of Surrey, in Roehampton. She has undertaken the Artists
Professional Development and the Arts Development with
Early Years course at Redless Sudios in Hounslow. She
is part of the Wimbledon Art Partnership Scheme and has
undertaken several schools mosaic projects around the
London area. Exhibitions include Arthouse open Studios
in Richmond, solo at the Pilot in Chiswick and as a member
of the ESP group in Roehampton. |

Maria
Morales
Maria has worked with Save The World Club since April
2004. She previously worked as a social worker, social
educator/youth worker and entertainer in her native
Spain. Her previous experience include working as a crafts
workshop and co-operative games monitor with children
in summer schemes and after school clubs. Maria is First
Aid and Health and Safety qualified and holds degree qualifications
as a Spanish Teacher, Social Worker and Community Development
Agent. She has also obtained experience working in Carlow,
Ireland working with MS residents and providing entertainment
and confidence building through activities. She has written
two plays for children and has performed live in Geneva
as a street performer and entertainer and radio commentator. |

Linda
Linda is a ceramic and mosaic artist with a first class
degree in Art for the Community at the University of Surrey,
Roehampton. She teaches ÅePottery for Parents and
ChildrenÅf at the Richmond Adult Community College
as well as running her own business as a Community Artist.
She has worked extensively with the elderly in sheltered
and residential accommodation and community centres, as
well as with disabled people of all ages. She also has
exhibitions of her own work and undertakes commissions.
Linda joined Save the World Club in 2005, working on the
Ham project. |

Nicky
Benge
Nicky Benge is a community artist who fell into mosaic
whilst living in Barcelona, being inspired by Gaudi. She
has worked as a volunteer and employee with STWC since
August 2004 and has definitely found her calling in life!
She has also run mosaic workshops in schools and youth
centres in London and the South East, as well as creating
carnival costumes and lanterns with a community arts charity
in Brighton. She has a National Diploma in teaching, is
a trained first aider, has public liability insurance
and holds a health and safety certificate, and a clean
CRB check. |
